Amish Custom Antique Reproduction Gun Cabinets

Occasionally a client will come across a gun cabinet at another store, auction, or at a friends house that they full in love with but sadly aren’t able to purchase it at the time or can’t talk their friend into giving up their gun cabinet.  Luckily, here at The Wood Loft, we have the ability to take a customer’s picture or drawing and have a gun cabinet Amish custom made in the wood, style, and stain that our customer has always dreamed of.

That was the case with this gun cabinet.  Our customer came across a antique gun cabinet at an estate sale and sadly was outbid during the auctioning process.  He had taken quite a few pictures and using the photos he provided, and the measurements he required, and stain samples from other furniture in his house we were able to have the gun cabinet Amish custom crafted into an heirloom. We hope he will treasure it forever.

This gun cabinet was custom made using 100% sustainable hardwoods right here in the USA with Amish craftsmen using the pictures that the custom supplied to us.	The gun barrel support bar was crafted out of solid quarter sawn white oak and then topped with 100% genuine leather to protect the gun barrels from scratches.
The gun butt rests were cut with increasing angles from center to the side to showcase the gun in multiple different angles. The gun barrel support was cut to accommodate the guns at different display angles.	Like the gun barrel rest, each of the gun butt support cutouts was lined with padding and then 100% genuine leather to provide protection and beautiful looks.
The gun cabinet was Amish custom crafted to match the full length upper and lower full columns.  Each of the columns was custom made out of solid quarter sawn white oak.  The accent appliques were installed on the front upper molding to match the photos of the Antique gun cabinet.	Along with the full length side glass, the base of this Amish custom gun cabinet was fitted with a flat panel sides. This accentuated the shaker mission look while still blending with the accents on the front of the gun cabinet.
This picture was taken with the LED touch lighting turned on and some of our gun to showcase the increasing angled gun display. The lower gun cabinet was fitted with a matching full column and has a custom Mission claw foot.	Photo of the gun cabinet with the butt rest removed to show the full piece of genuine leather along the base.
The lower drawer features dovetailed construction and a full extension side mount slide.  The drawer itself spans the whole width of the cabinet and the bottom was lined with genuine leather.	The top two drawers of the Amish crafted gun cabinet was outfitted with leather lined angled inserts. These allow both pistol or long gun display.  Each gun cabinet drawer was equipped with a lock for safety.
Each of the drawer allowed for full extension when the pistols or long guns were in place. They were reinforced to prevent any sagging that may occur with the added weight of multiple gun.	The floral accents were designs that were featured in his pictures. After quite a bit of hunting we were able to acquire four florets to match the original antique gun cabinet.
